  i passed the last exam to get my final microsoft certification, mcse, and just did it in time to have done them all within a year !

  Looking for some advice...

  i have been inactive for the past 5 years or so.

  i just could not bring myself to sit through meeting after meeting of the same thing any longer.. however, my wife and children are still regular and as such are preparing to go to the district convention next month.. for the past 4 years i have been able to avoid going to it with commitments to work, etc.

  unfortunately this year it is not the case and my wife has made it very clear that she expects me to go with her.. how do i express to her that i don't want to spend 3 days of my life in uncomfortable clothing, sitting in a hot arena, listening to information that makes me want to stab pencils into my ears?

  Welcome, NKyGuy!

  Why did you become inactive? Was it just because you were getting bored or have you researched Watchtower and uncovered all the lies, deceit and utter nonsense that it is? If it is because of the former reason then you will not (in her eyes) have any real defence. However, if you have in fact done your research, then you need to explain why you can no longer take Watchtower seriously. In return, she should respect your point of view. After all, you have been instructed by Watchtower to "examine any religion that you are associated with" and that "it is not religious persecution to expose a religion that is false"

  how sorry i was to hear from dansk-he is going through a very difficult time.. i would like all prayers, thoughts, please keep this in mind ____ for me!!!!.

  the sad news he has cancer.it is lymphoma!!!

  they are waiting on the results of the biopsy before determining treatment..... he didnt want me to say anything at first- as he feels you all have your own problems & he didnt want to upset anyone-because he says "they are dear friends".

  I asked the Prof. that if his children had what I had would he give them chemo. He was diplomatic. He said he wouldn't because they were his children

  Well that says a lot for giving chemo to fight MCL! You've sure done your research, Ian!

  Bleah! Latest WT tactics - JWs go around nicking glazed-eyed people's wallets ( to prove crime is on the increase ) then turn up on their doorstep to return the wallet! Not only does this "prove" how much the sun shines out of the JW's arse, it also gives him the opportunity to "give" WT magazines as a "reward"

  Well that's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!

  Well that's pretty good news, Ian (apart from the needles!) Isn't it incredible though that there can still be any doubt about the diagnosis after so long? But of course that could be a good thing, if in fact it isn't MCL. I know it must be tempting to hope that the diagnosis is wrong, especially since you were originally diagnosed with lipoma (incredibly), not lymphoma at all. Did the professor give any indication at all as to the possibility that it may not be MCL? I mean, wouldn't that just be fantastic! Anyway, he should be the expert on these matters, so who knows, eh?

  Oh and I was wondering if you discussed your concerns that chemo does no good against MCL. If you did, what was his opinion?

  ok ok ok don't rattle my ears so, i havn't even looked at the rest of the replies there yet, anyway, don't put me off my train of thought, thats rude, now you made me digress.

  after posting the last topic, i thought you americans deserved something a tad better from me, so off i went before sundown to capture some photos for you all and i hope you enjoy them, the one of the cows udder, yes, that is where milk comes from for you city dwellers, well, it reminded me of a certain lady poster on this forum, only i forget her name now.

  the ones of the cornish lanes, well you can see the width of the road, would you believe that yes, this is for two way traffic and the speed limit is 60mph, great fun at night hairing down these meadering roads, but tis cool, cos you can always see the headlights coming from the other way.

  i have visited several churches with family and friends and this is something that i cannot get used to.

  i do not know if this is basically done in black churches or not ( i am aa) but it makes me a little uncomfortable.

  i will say that i have had feelings in these churches that i have never felt in the kh.
